Our rapidly expanding company is seeking highly motivated Service Technicians to service our growing customer base. As a service technician you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of OVERHEAD CRANES AND HOISTS. Successful applicants will be challenged to build and maintain customer relationships and promote CRS CraneSystems in the marketplace.

Some out of town travel is required for this position; however approximately 80% of this positions client base is located around the specific branch areas.

Your Skills

• Ability to speak, read and write in English for clear communication with our customers

Title Mechanical Technologist

Job Information

You will be involved in various aspects of the repair and modernization of cranes, you will be responsible for initial sourcing of component parts, preparing quotations based upon site reports or drawings and scheduling of the work. Your role will include pre-order discussions/sales to the customer, technical support to site crews and site inspection of work where required. You will need to be able to prioritize work as this role encompasses multiple projects and daily liaison with customers. Your knowledge of cranes, below the hook items and testing of cranes and components is a must for this role.

Your Skills

Education: Completion of High School, Technician or Technologist Diploma

Experience: : A minimum of 10,000 hours (five years) of overhead crane and hoists experience.
Knowledge and experience in the inspection of Cranes and associated lifting equipment

Training

Knowledge of the design and operational requirements of cranes to enable the transfer of designs/modernization concepts to drawings and final products.

AutoCAD Experience.

Speak & Write English fluently

Must have clean driving license

You will be responsible for the successful completion of assigned structural and or mechanical projects.

In this position, you will be:

· Ensuring the timely and effective completion of all aspects of procurement, fabrication and documentation

· Evaluating project scope and contractual obligations

· Managing project costs, schedules and contracts

· Monitoring and reporting on project progress, status, and costs

· Coordinating the execution of commercial terms and conditions

· Liaising with customers and internal groups

· Identifying project deliverables and ensuring their completion

· Ensuring all project engineering, drafting, and process design work is completed on time and accurately

Your Skills

Do you have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or a Diploma from an Engineering Technology program? This position is for you! Please note that it is not essential to have previous crane experience. However, experience with AutoCAD (or one of the similar programs) is desirable.

The successful candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. CRS Crane Systems is interested in receiving applications from enthusiastic team players, who have an exceptional mechanical or structural aptitude with strong attention to detail. In addition, you have the ability to read and understand drawings. Having excellent organizational skills is required. Ideally, you are proficient with Microsoft Office and are familiar with MS Projects.
